Shoe Buying Tips:
  • Fully utilize a generous return policy by ordering multiple items, then keep what you like and return the rest.
  • Have a pair of old shoes you love? Search for that brand or style. Many manufacturers produce similar products several years in a row.
  • Think about socks. Boots are often worn with bulky socks, while sandals are hopefully not. Sizing may be affected with how much extra padding you have.
  • Add to cart then pair down. If you find something interesting, add it to your cart. After window shopping for a while view your cart and delete items you don’t want.
  • Heat makes your feet swell and cold may shrink them. Think about temperature when choosing sizes.
  • Buy shoes that make you smile.
  • Consider waterproofing or stain proofing. Many shoes will have a much longer lifespan if they are properly cared for.

At Bloch our goal is to contribute to a dancer's artistry, in even the slightest way. Bloch’s philosophy of listening to the needs of dancers is still as strong today as it was when Jacob Bloch made his first pair of pointe shoes in 1932. The respect Bloch has for their clients' art is infinite. Although jealous of their clients' artistic ability, Bloch is proud to contribute confidence and beauty through the best dance footwear in the world.

Bloch - Dansoft (Pink) - Women's: FITTING INFORMATION: Women please select 3 sizes down from street shoe size. ; Dansoft is an ideal student ballet shoe with a full sole and elastic already attached over the instep. Features strong yet flexible upper and a cotton lining. Leather construction. Full Sole.

    Bloch:

Dansoft -- Dancing - I had a really hard time trying to find a dance shoe with an E width. I bought a couple and this Bloch was the only brand that came close to fitting. It is still a little tight where the stitching is, but overall, I am very pleased. I would recommend this brand to anyone. Now, if I could just fine jazz shoes in an E width, I would be in heaven.

Prolite II Hybrid -- Nice shoes - These shoes make my arches look fantastic. They are also extremely comfortable, but the heel feels a little loose. I needed a size 4B but they only had 4C, and they are true to size (that's why the heel is loose). The heel also felt a little thick on the bottom when I first got them but that will wear down with time. I love Bloch's jazz shoes and ballet flats. They hold up really well, feel like they were made for my feet, and don't fall apart easily. If you want them to fit like a glove, buy all your Bloch shoes 2 to 2.5 sizes smaller that your street shoes. I like this cut of ballet flats much better than the Bloch SO258L Economy Split that my old studio required. If you have a choice in shoes, it's worth paying a bit more for the Prolight II Hybrids. I just wish the elastic they come with came pre-sewn. I'm lazy.

Dansoft Split Sole -- Good beginner shoes - Had these as a beginner student about 2 years ago, now I am an advanced student at a pre-professional Ballet Academy. These fit 2-1/2 to 3 sizes SMALLER than street shoe size. I wear a street shoe size 6.5, and wore a size 4 in these. Just to let people know, these are NOT made as fashion shoes, these are for dance training, and I would NOT even recommend them for exercise because they have no arch support. In Ballet training, we continually stretch and strengthen our arches, to the point wear standing flat, we learn to pull up and out of our own arches, there for supporting themselves, which prevents fallen arches.
